Here we go, the ww2aircraft.net connection... I believe the first three are Andy/Crimea River's; his Arado took a bronze in the advanced jet category:-

The big 1/32 Tamiya F-4U is Cory/Catch 22's, which I think took a gold in its group:-

My 1/72 Kayaba Type 4 ram-jet didn't place in the regular category but won a special award for 'best camo'.

I didn't take any pics of my other entries on the tables, which were my 1/72 Airfix Albatros D.Va (which took a gold) and the 1/72 Airfix Bulldog, which won a bronze.

That Massimo guy went home with a lot of stuff! The two seat Hornet was by Rick Chin, and the single seat was by a guy named Roger. I unfortunately don't know his last name. Both were very well done, but 739 (the single seat, and "my" plane, which I'll be starting in the same scale shortly), is actually part of 425 Squadron, not 409 as he has it marked.

Nice shots, and well deserved awards by you guys! I did win gold, but I was the only one in intermediate.

1/32 109 by Rick Chin.

Good ones Mike. That manned buzz bomb was indeed a 1/32 scale subject. I was wondering what happened to the bottom of the J's on the lower cowl of that Mustang til I saw this. Note also the extra stripes on the prop tips. Hope he didn't lose marks for the J's.

Time for some other subjects, I'll get back to the aircraft later. I know virtually nothing about armour and ships, so if you can identify a subject feel free to comment :)

This was a massive 1/72 German railgun diorama, so big that the only 'full' pic I took was from the museum's upper gallery. Lots of detail, well painted and weathered, convincing groundwork – not surprisingly it took several awards.

Another multiple award winner, Jason Bobrowich's 1/35 Canadian Leopard.

The rail gun was indeed impressive. I thought that the paint job was first class but I'm still bothered about the height of the men vs the handrails. If this is the HobbyBoss kit of the Dora rail gun, then the scale is 1/72 and the figures look correct.

Jason's armour subject are always first class and he did not disappoint with this Leopard.

At least the figures are more to scale than this one.

(Yes, some guy's built a 1/6 scale Dora.)

Oh c'mon there is not such railway gun. That's just a Wehrmacht 1946 wannabe model depiction. That scale looks like a 1500mm or 5ft diameter cannon.
