Thanks chaps, much appreciated.

Going to make and fit the electrical hook-up cable later, and have a go at making a working tow hitch locking pin, so that the trailer can be hitched and adjusted as required, when it's ready to go onto the diorama base.
Due to the tiny size of the pin, I doubt I'll be successful so, in that case, the trailer will be hitched and the pin just simulated.

Got a hospital pre-op appointment tomorrow, and maybe the second cataract op on Monday. Been some confusion, as the post-op appointment for the first surgery had to be re-arranged, and is due on Tuesday, which has thrown arrangements out of line !
The op date will be scheduled once the pre-op is done, so I'm expecting the second surgery very soon.

Thanks all.

Had the pre-op today, and now confirmed, I'll be having the op on the right eye on Monday.

Not much more to show on the tanker or tractor and ammo trailer just yet, as the final parts will be added when they are ready to be placed on the diorama base. Consequently, these will now be safely stored away until then.

So, the next stage is to start preparation work on the B-24, as there are a few mods to be done before starting the actual construction. These involve blanking-off some windows and opening others, and also opening part of one engine cowling on the port wing, as well as drilling out the landing lamp housings on both wings, and adding the housing for the "passing light" on the port wing.
I haven't heard anything further regarding the Koster turrets kit, but I haven't quite given up hope yet, and I'm about to e-mail Jeff at Rare-Plane Detective, to see if he has any news. The worrying thing is, that there have been reports of Evri couriers here in the UK (formerly Hermes, as they still are elsewhere) passing on undelivered packages to auction houses, after declaring them as returned to sender !
I may have to work with the kit turrets after all, but, just in case, I'll ask Jeff if he has another Koster kit.

Back soon with the first instalment of the B-24 build .....................

I've had a very quick response from Jeff at Rare-Plane Detective re the Koster turrets kit.
He informs me that it's not unusual for returned items to take a lot longer, probably as they're not "priority", and that so far, he's always received every returned item, even from overseas.
He doesn't have another Koster kit (it would have been sent if he had), but he's currently unloading a batch of kits and parts which include a number of B-24 kits and lots of accessories and vac-formed stuff, so if there happens to be another Koster kit mong them, and the original doesn't turn up, then it'll be mine.
So there's hope yet ..................

Good luck on your eye Op...and I look foward to seeing you start you B-24 build. I read this thread, I was unaware of this old tanker kit that Atlantis. I found one and am thinking of getting it, as I found your build very inspiring. Plus, big planes need big tankers. I am still learning the ropes on this site, have watched this build so I will be getting the updates. If you don't get your Koster turrets my offer still stands for my 3D printed interior for the rear turret.
