Citrus Balloon festival

I got up at 3:45AM to get out of the house at 4:15AM to head to Santa Paula for the Citrus Balloon Festival. It is the inaugural event and it was my first balloon festival as well. I missed the glow event last night. I heard it was pretty cool. They only did one balloon takeoff today, so I stuck around for that and the kids roping lessons and headed home before it got hot.

I think next year I may try to get a media ride for some air-to-air work. That would definitely be my slowest air-to-air shots!
