Thanks again everyone.

Today I managed to clean up the few spots that needed it, reprimed, and then apply a coat of acrylic Azure Blue from my old PolyScale stock, which went on nicely. It's difficult to see in the photo but I also began some of the planned patchy treatment by going over the panels a bit with the blue lightened a tad. I'll be doing some more wear and tear yet. Start subtle and work up.

Nice work Andy. There was a 'breather' hole on the lower engine cowling, just aft of the cowl panel joint. I haven't got a decent pic of the real aircraft conveniently to hand showing this, but it can just be seen in this shot of my Bob Cross Hurricane, just showing at the lip of the tropical intake, where it joins the fuselage.

Thanks guys. Terry, I always appreciate your pointing out "holes" in my projects! Looks to be both sides, unless this pic is reversed.

No Andy, they're the side breather and manual starter crank holes, the shape and position of which were slightly different depending on Mark, engine etc.
The breather I mean is the one on the underside - it's arrowed in yellow in the photo this time.

Ah, gotcha. I as wondering what you meant as I did find out the side holes were for the crank starters and knew you would not make that mistake.
