Getting closer and closer. Finished the landing gear and made up the whip antenna from monofilament fishing line. With a little luck I'll finish up the last few details and have it finished tomorrow.

Interesting bit of history just came my way. Just now I was looking at the pics I posted last night and our secretary came in and saw them and mentioned that her dad was a mechanic somewhere outside London and he talked about working for 48 hours straight painting D-Day stripes on aircraft before the Invasion.

It's really looking the biz Glenn. As for applying the AEAF stripes, those done in the field were often a bit rough around the edges - those done post D-day, at the MUs, tended to be neater.
