Thanks, I tried the grey first but it turned out to be a near match for the gull grey of the fuselage. I really liked the dark grey in this case.

Using Tamiya "Weathering Master" "B" set, soot and a q-tip I added the jet exhaust to the underside of the wing and inboard flaps.

Yeah I guess I never thought of those stains appearing that way but it makes sense with wings folded and engines running. Good stuff.

Thanks all, I'm really having fun with this. Update. I made it out to G&G models yesterday and picked up my Solvaset and some Tamiya clear yellow, blue, and smoke. Also Vallejo NATO black and simi gloss. That being said I used some Micro satin as an over coat and started on more fiddly bits.

I had a hard time on the colors for this light set.

But I used red yellow red. Anyone knows better I'm listening.

The nav lights were pretty easy as the light bulbs were already molded in and a toothpick top of Tamiya clear red and green did it.
