Hey, All,
It has been a bit since I last posted (remember, slow and easy, slow and easy). I am still working on the resin cockpit. I am just about done with the gunner's area. I have started test fitting the pilot's cabin into the fuselage. Things are not horribly out of line, but lots and lots of test fit, sand, test fit, sand.... you all know the drill. So, I am still finalizing the gunner's office, one side wall to get on (messed up the first cut from the resin "fret" and I am trying to recover from that. The fix looks promising). My biggest dilemma at this time is the significant difference between the kit "top deck" and the resin piece (Pic 3). As you can see, there is way big difference there. The lack of good photos are making this far more difficult to sort out. It seems the kit deck is meant to abut against a "wall" in the fuse. The resin deck extends far beyond that wall. So, do I just cut the resin deck to match the kit piece in length or do I remove the wall to allow the resin piece to extend its full length? I did a more detailed look just where the rear "wall" in the resin piece would come to rest deeper in the fuse and that seems to indicate that is what this is supposed to happen. I am furiously goggling in an attempt to sort all this out. The pics nsmekanik (THANK YOU SO MUCH) seem to give me just a hint (first pic) that the deck may extend into the fuse. Or is that the deck I am seeing just peeking over the aiming mechanism? I have built the kits gunners office up to use in aligning the resin assembly when that time comes. ok, ok, I knew what I was getting into when I chose to go with the resin details. I am still going to make this work.

Thanks, Andy. Those helped to a limited extent. However, I found the included photo that tends to make me believe I can remove the after bulkhead from the kit. I did that and the resin deck fits even better than the kit piece!

Hi, Guys,
Happy Fathers Day to you fellow dads. I hope you all have a good day with the kids.
More progress to report. I have the fuselage closed up and started getting the deck installed. I have glued it in the very front and they very rear. I will continue with the the gluing in steps until I have it laid down. Then I will finish the final sanding on the gunners office to finalize the fit. The pilots tub is now sanded and fits in nicely. Once this is complete, things should start to progress nicely from here on in.
Thanks for stopping by.

Ok, FINALLY got things fitting in. Not perfect, but reasonable. Fuse is closed up, resin cockpit is in. Next is fitting the forward bay doors and figuring out how to mount the 50mm cannon barrel and the hole in the bay doors for the cannon to pass through. Working on a basic build and painting of the engines. I need these in place for the exhausts. I am not going to open either engine bay.
Thanks for stopping by.
