Wondering how far forward the CG was.
Parked, a tail wind would for the weight to the nose wheel.
Wind from the front perhaps would have no effect on the coming off the ground.

Plugging along, I kind of figured being retired and with the raging zombie apocalypse having people hiding in their caves I would have oodles of free time ? Not ! Into the throwing around paint phase finally.

I lowered the pressure on my compressor until it would barely move the paint. I also thinned the paint to almost water viscosity. Slowly built up each spot. All the B&W pictures don't really show any difference in colour and there seems to be a lot of interpretation as to the colour of the mottling. Some of the models I looked at the two colours used for the splinter pattern on the wings.I ended up using both RLM 81 and RLM 82 thinking it would look a little better. The instruction call for just RLM 81. I held my breath a lot as well while doing it !

That's pretty much what I do for mottles Graham. They turned out really nice.
