Thanks all, Nice kit but as per Eduard, lots of fiddly bit to get the job done. Even so a pretty quick build to go together with a couple minor setbacks.
Worked on the main gear bay and the wing as well as the aft fuselage this morning.
First I had to add piping and a few other items to the main gear wells.
Then various ram air inlets around the aft fuselage, same items on both sides.
Then back to the main gear well to add bottles.
And last but not least the lower wing to fuselage. as well as some of the upper forward fuselage items forward of the cockpit.
Thank you all for the kind words. Today I feel Irish and so green arrows will do.
Clean up work. when the wing was installed it was like there was a warp somewhere. The back of the wing would fit or the front mate would work but not both. In fact the right would fit or the left. I had to fit one side and let it dry, in fact front rt and then front left and then aft and clamp and cuss. It left a gap in the back and a step in the front despite mu better efforts.
Then the forward section would align on one side or the other. this wan not as bad as the bottom was but still required Mr surfacer 500. There was a bit of clean up on the upper front where the pitot will mount.
The step was on the forward wing to fuselage mount. the Mr Surfacer 500 was I shall say troweled on in this area but the other side the step is to the aft.
I have to decided to use a thin strip of plastics to fill this step. I hope it will sand down with out too much issue.
On the right aft section of the mate I had a gap, but not on the left. Again I used thin plastic stock to fill this gap. And lots of green arrows!!!!!!!!
I masked off the tail to shoot stainless steel and steel colors for the tail. Also found that all that nasty fighting getting the forward fuselage to go together cased a nasty row in the bottom and had to use to filler.
