    You would enjoy "Kittyhawks over the Sands" by Levigne where you'd see a lot of similar pictures.

    Interesting too the comment that Hurricanes looked like "hungry horses" after a few months in the desert. If the one major criticism of the 1:72 Hasegawa kits is overdone ribbing, I can now poke my tongue out, say 'na-nanna-na-na!' and point the accuser in the direction of this thread :)

    Not a Wildcat, rather a P-40 I'd say. Looks very short without it's cowls, rudder and canopy slid back though. P-40B ??
