One of a force of 14 aircraft from 464 Squadron detailed to attack enemy targets in the rear of the Ardennes salient. MM403 failed to return from the mission. Engine cut out, lost height and abandoned on intruder mission 10m NE of Merville January 18, 1945. F/Lt Trites, the pilot, was killed but F/Lt Shanks baled out of the aircraft at 600 feet and landed safely.

This represents most of what deductible points are present. I thought I could sneak the landing lights into the wing after painting, but nope. The Hasegawa decals didn't merge into the paint and I think I put a little too much clear flat here, as the paint ran a bit. I need to work more on exhaust technique.
