It is really quite basic kit Evan. Do you have the Airfix one...? In my opinion she looks very nice even made OOB.

I do my friend, also the Pavla resin set to correct the external details
Was considering doing a 'comparison' build of the two, either here as GB entries or on a seperate thread...what do ya reckon?

Both the separate thread and the GB entry sound very interesting. However the separate one will give you more of time for working on , methinks.

I have a book with a photo of the very craft in it Evan. It's a black and white shot though and looks very similar to the box art you have there.

If that's PS888 you're talking about, then my uncle, George S. Travers, was her airframe fitter. He painted the words 'The last!' on her on completion of her final flight in 1954.

rather than try and do a MkI and an F24 i am now thinking of just doing my Airfix 1/48 MkXII instead !
