Have you checked the fit of the lower plate to the rest of the fuselage. Andy is having loads of fun with his build, which has a similar method for attaching the underside panel of the fuselage. I would expect no issues provided the kit has been moulded to good tolerances, but otherwise, might present some difficulties.....
