Hummm transport.. I'm now thinking that the RAF CH-47 Chinook could be my preference over the C-130. Keeps the costs down ( Mrs quiet), plus fits with my other modelling plans (Afghan Apache, Lynx, Merlin etc)

Is a Heli accepted as an entry or must it be a plane?
 
I wouldn't bother. Just mask it to the high points and use light mist coats - or are you using the hairy stick?
 
After discussion with my wife on location and survivability of finished models (taking space and 1 and 5 year old kids into account), decided to put the C-47 idea on hold for now and do something small, strong and devoid of thin sticking out bits... thinking maybe a Henschel Hs 123 or 129.
(Will probably still do the Horsa though, love those things!)
