Thanks guys.

One unintended consequence of gluing the gun covers on at this stage is that the wing uppers will not fit onto the fuselage if attached to the bottom half. As a result, I've had to glue the uppers to the fuselage first, which had the added benefit of being able to make sure the seam is as clean as possible. The patient is in traction as we speak:

Fingers crossed that the lower half will go on smoothly but I see no reason why not. Thanks for stopping by.
I glued the lower wing to the fuselage first, then the uppers, sliding the gun hatch into the side of the fuselage as I did. The wings fit together beautifully, so I don't think you will have a problem there. My problem was the gun hatch to the fuselage joint, but it looks like you have that one solved.

Thanks guys. So here are the warts.

The port wing halves didn't cooperate on mate-up but this is a small price for having a good wing to fuselage seam. This has since been rectified by filing and sanding.

Tail feathers were glued on. I like using the grid on my cutting mat to eyeball the alignment of the tail and main wing dihedrals from head-on so nothing goes wonky.

I'll post more when I get something worth showing. Thanks for following along.
