She didn't survive. They found her plane upside down and her body was in the aircraft. The Luftwaffe targeted her specifically with I believe 8 or 9 bf109s specifically assigned to kill her. If I remember right, she got 4 of them but I'm not sure.My bad as there was some misinformation in the photos I was looking at before. I did some more research and she was indeed quite a pilot. It would seem though that there is some debate as to whether or not she died or survived the war. I would hope that it was the latter.
