HMS Kent from the mid 1970's preparing for a Navy Day

Neat photo! County Class Guided Missile Destroyer with its big boxy twin 4.5 in turrets! Used to know a guy who served aboard HMS Glamorgan (The Glamorous Organ) during the Falklands war.

I heard from my son today that when he picked up Liam my 20 month Grandson from nursery. They made a point of telling him that Liam had become very excited, pointing up at the sky when a Typhoon and later a helicopter went overhead. Apparently it was the helicopter that really got him going.

Sound like my son is doing a decent job of bringing him up after all.
