Thank you very much, Ralph, for checking my clumsy posts.
The software I use is SHADE (ver.6 of 32bit and ver.15 of 64bit).
This is little known Japanese 3D graphic software in the world but I have happened to love it since 2004.
I've worked with Catia and SolidWorks (over 40 years now) and this is the first I've heard of SHADE? Impressive to say the least. I'm also going to send you a PM to reminisce on Japan.
Thanks for sharing an interesting story, Ralph.
I am frankly curisous about your work.
In the emergence of personal computers in the 1980s to 1990s, there seemed big chances for the Japanese software makers too like Expression Tools for Shade as they enjoyed very good business in Japan until Autodesk came up. The company I worked was using AutoCad but it was 2D. In search of any suitable 3D software, I came across this Shade as it was one of the most economical popular ones like "Which will you choose Shade or LightWave for 3D?" SolidWorks was too expensive for me to consider
Front wing of J7W1.
This is not only elevator but plays a role as wing because the center of gravity of the main wing is located about 15% forward off the M.A.C chord to realize stabler maneuverability.
Front wing has the angle of attack like main wing.
3 degree was tentatively decided during test flights but the war had been over before it was decided firmly.
