In a zoo, you can make great photos. This was in Overloon in a little zoo. I was on vacation in Overloon. This area is also very interesting for WW2 buffs, see for instance the Panther tank earlier, but I will start a separate thread about that.
Really happy with my new fixed 50mm lens. Seems like going backwords, having no zoom, but the advantages outweight it. The lens has a max. aperture of F/1.8, which is much more than the F/5.6 of my 18-55mm kitlens. Also the photo's turn out to be much sharper. THe focus motor is also of a new type making focussing much smoother and faster than my old lenses.
Here a selection of shots I made when playing with this new toy, this weekend. Most are done with F/1.8 up to F/2.6, making a very nice background blurr.
Oh and the kid in the picture with the Yak52 is my youngest son, Kiran, 6 years old. We were on a little airshow together. The bike is his bike.
Oh, I did not make many photo's on the airshow. It was not that exciting and the displays were too far away for my 70-300 lens. But I liked this shot and as I cannot let an airshow pass without posting at least one photo, I did my duty here:
