Hi all,

Just finished this today its an Avro Lancastrian, was really a Lancaster bomber but after WWII they turned them into civilian air transport planes :crazyeyes: .

Very nice model Ian!

Probably no truth to this but there's a story that the word "posh" comes from "port outward, starboard home" meaning the most desirable side of a ship when travelling East in the days before air conditioning. I guess the BOAC service with their "posh" passengers had a similar situation travelling to Australia, facing the West on the Southbound trip and the East on the homeward flight because the seats were on the port side with the windows on the starboard.
