My showcase is almost full. Almost no room for the models. While I do not solve this problem, which I am trying to sell mine and buy a bigger one, I stopped with the models in 1/32 scale. By now they are all stored inside their boxes.
As I am without building some time ago I decided to return to the scale 1/48. I still have two or three models in this scale but decided to buy the new model Euard.
Yep , undoubtedly a great job on the model so far.
As far as the trouble with the lack of the room for models.. you will never solve this problem I'm afraid. Believe me I have three stashes and all of them are full of kits. Actually thinking about fourth one. It's a neverending story.
Nice work indeed. I agree about the storage and display - some of my models are getting ruined due to dust and smoke (must give up cigarettes!), so I'm thinking of putting some away in sealed boxes again.
Well then I was without a camera. I painted the RLM 71 with Tamiya XF-61. Lights and shadows and was ready to start with the decals. Perhaps start today.
When applying the Future many of the effects disappear in particular in dark colors so, this time, I used Tamiya glossclear. The problem remained. The effects on darker colors continue to disappear.
A new problem. Some white spots appeared after applying the clear. The weather has been cold and rainy. I think it happened due to humidity.
I applied a new layer, this time with Future, and fortunately the spots disappeared.
I painted what was missing in the wings and started putting the decals. I started by marks of Ofw . Kurt Obben and 6. Tragergruppe.
Looking very nice indeed. Some details will seem to disappear under a clear gloss coat, due to light diffusion, but they should 're-appear' once the finish coat of semi-matt clear is applied.
