Thanks a bunch guy's, I'm somewhat flabbergasted, I really thought Vaughan had got this one in the bag and that there would be a bit of a tie for second or third place.

What a GB this has been, so many outstanding builds and diverse subjects, it was a very hard one to pick. The effort given by you all and the models presented are a credit to this forum, you should all feel very proud of yourselves. I give my personal thanks to each of you for taking part, giving support and being part of a great bunch of guy's.

My congratulations also to Vaughan and Sergio for a couple of exceptionally good builds and what a good result for you Vaughan on this, your first GB entry.

Well done to all of you.

And now it's the judges turn..... and I don;t think I have to point out how much tougher each build this becomes.\
You are brave souls to volunteer for this task.

Thanks Vic, you just pipped me at the post. Now you judges have a real headache of a job to decide who comes 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the three categories, I don't envy you.

Very well done to all, and to Vic.
Paul, the judging shouldn't take into account the Member's Choice poll or results - in fact, the 'official' judged results are supposed to be announced before the Member's Choice poll is even launched, but pressure of work and other considerations don't always allow this. The judging is based on certain criteria covering aspects of the build, finish and presentation, in which points are awarded in each section, and added up to provide an overall total points score for each entry, in each individual category.

Do the judges use these polls to help with their task? I would think it would be a help.

The simple answer to that Paul, is 'No'. The judging of the categories is a totally different function and is no way influenced by this members pole. For my part, I try to do the judging before the pole is published.

Wayda go Vic!

And, no, the results of the member's choice have no bearing on how I judge the entries. My results were tallied before the start of this poll.

Well, in that case, Would some parsley sprinkled around my next plane help? I was watching some old Julia Childs' shows the other day and she said parsley was good for the final presentation

didnt vote in this one but would of picked Vics Gannet anyway so well done mate, well deserved.

and Paul, parsley is sooooo last year i now use red amaranth at work !!!
