She will be back I am sure, if they can get a shot up and ditched spitfire of a dunkerque beach after 70 years back in the air PM is a weekend job.
 
It doesn't look that badly damaged to me, though I'm sure the damage is more extensive than what we can see, it looks completely repairable. I would imagine the owner has it insured, why not just rebuild it? I'm glad no one was hurt...

I wouldn't even begin to guess at the inspections required to determine what is salvageable. Most of that metal has just had the heat treatment screwed with to begin with. But, if there is the will to repair it, it could be done.
 
Excellent! Initially it sounded like he'd given up on it, but I guess that was just in the aftermath of the fire.
