Hello everyone,

I feel compelled to let fellow forum members know the reason for my absence as of late. My wife Laura passed away on September 17th from complications due to brain cancer. Even though the family knew this was inevitable, it did nothing to prepare us for the grief we all are experiencing at the moment. She fought the disease gallantly for the past 11 years and during that time she always remained positive and hopeful, which helped the entire family feel that way too. She is my hero and will remain that way forever. My main goal in life moving forward is the caring for our children's needs, as that is what she would want at this time. I hope to come back to the forum soon as it was always fun to talk old aircraft with like minded individuals. Thanks for allowing me to be a member of the "family"....your friend, Darren

May God bless you and your family Darren. I will tell my wife Diana
about your situation so that she can help guide my prayers for you
and your family. We all hope to hear from you again soon, but we
also know that time and time with God is the only healer. Take care
of your kids and hope to see you soon buddy.
:sorry: all my condolences sir, Jeff

My wife of 40 years died in 2002 of a brain hemorrhage. I do understand your grief and loss. It will take lots of time but the good memories will become dominant. My most sincere condolences.

Requiem aeternam dona ei, Domine,
et lux perpetua luceat ei .
Requiescat in pace.

Really sorry to hear this sad news, and I sincerely hope that you can come to terms with things.
Not much of a consolation, but it will be one year come Friday (19th October), since the wonderful woman I knew for just over one year passed away as a result of cancer - she was just short of her 48th birthday (nearly 17 years younger than me).
But the time I shared with her I will never forget.
Hard to do, but keep your chin up, and never give in.
