George, if it is anything like here, you will get one of these paper type overall to put over your cloths, same with foot covering just like police pathologists on TV and you also get a lovely hat to wear. So dress comfortably!
Been through this last year. It was not too bad, even though I'm a hyperprotective sissy where my eyes are concerned. The drops were a seemingly endless pain in the ass, though.. But I see better. It was all worth the discomfort and bother.

Thank you, sir. Vic, when I had my retina reattached I just wore street clothes during surgery. My instructions for the procedure say, ".....wear comfortable clothes....". Coffee, breakkie, meds, drops, fuel and hitting the road in 2hrs. Thanks to all. Updates at 11

Thank you very much, everyone. Had my follow up and the eye doc is happy. Another follow up in PG on the 29th to go with the two other medical appointments that were already scheduled.
That's going to be my going uptown beret but my wife said......

I forgot to mention that when I was once again being prepped for surgery I asked the doctor and three nurses if I was going to get the machine that goes "ping" and once again the nurses looked at me like I had pooped on the operating table.; at least the doctor smiled and shortly after he did something and I got a ping sound. One of the nurses asked me what I was referring to and when I told her she said, "So, Monty Python is a comedian?"

The backlog you mentioned recalled a former co-worker of my wife. The co-worker was a nurse originally from Sweden and flew her mother to the U.S. for her cataract surgery due to the wait in the home country. She told my wife the normal procedure is Sweden was to do one eye and give you glasses. As I had just had both knees replaced, she said the Swedish procedure was to do one and give you a cane. I have no way to verify these comments, however after her mother's recovery, she quit her job, sold her car to my wife, and flew home with her mother to care for her.
