Greetings to all.

Retired after 53 years of Federal Service, US Coast Guard, CIA, and CBP/DHS. The most time with DHS/US Customs and Border Protection. I am going back to making models, focusing on US Coast Guard aircraft, as on on assignment I flew in the HU-16 Albatross as Radioman/Navigator. Out of Salem, Ma (Winter Island) and Otis Air Station, Cape Cod, Ma. Only served a few months, then back to ships. But I did get to fly in the HH-3 and HH-52, and got a ride in the last USCG PBY before it was retired. Thus my interest. I bought two HU-16 models and hope to make one like the Jimmy Buffet Island Hopper. Looking to meet many of you and be involved as much as I can. I now reside in Florida, love it. CHEERS ALL... oh how do I get a photo avatar installed, or do I need a minimum of posts before allowed....THANKS.

Came across your forum today, and was very impressed. I am just getting back into model making, since I was a kid. So I am really new. My avatar shows the Glencoe USCG 36 Foot Motor Boat, my first model I made. I am interested in cars, aircraft and ships. While in the service on board ship when on patrol I used to make wooden ships, did the Baltimore Clipper, CGC Eagle, and the Taurus Tug. So my experience is limited but here to learn from all of you guys. One of my big hobbies is photography, and I am very accomplished in that field. I have many photos of WWII and WWI aircraft, both static and in flight. Hope to hear from some of you...CHEERS.

Welcome from England, where we need a Coastguard inland ! (cos it's bl**dy wet !!!).
Lived in Coughton, off A43 in Midlands, near Upper Heyford when they were flying Aardvarks F-111's out of Upper Heyford. 4 years, working for US Federal Government. YUP it rains alot, but never stops the air shows.

Welcome. Allow me to show you around
