Here are some shots from the Planes of Fame Monthly Flying History Meeting. The F4U-1A Corsair. Members of the greatest generation that lived: Left, Major John H. Tashjian, US Marine Corps pilot of the F4U Corsair in the attached photos. Major Tashjian actually flew this exact Corsair in combat in WWII, Center, is Michele Spry she is the Author of Children's books and who's relentless research put the combat pilots and this Corsair together and notifying the Planes of Fame what a great combat aircraft they had, left is Army Sgt. Wilber Richardson who works at the Planes of Fame Air Museum, Sgt. Richardson flew over 30 combat missions in Europe as a belly turret gunner in a B-17.
