Thought I would try another paper burn, this time a F-18 Super Hornet. Still some shadows to put in and frame it.

Merv, if I am not mistaken, the helicopter is one of the latest versions of the Cobra that the Marines use.
The Dauntless burn is top notch sir. VERY WELL done!
As is the Hornet burn also. You have mastered this form of art extremely well.
And the shots of the P-40s are spot on. Keep up the great work!
Here is a shot I found of the helicopter, the photo info lists it as a AH-1W Cobra, but I don't how accurate this is.

Dunno, Aaron, look at the different in the tail rotor and tail-plane assembly. The winglettes look the same but the exhaust ports seem to have a little more distance on Merv's shot.

What I am wondering, though, is what's a Marine Cobra doing over the inlane empire? MCAS El Toro is a memory and the Navy bases are far to the west or south unless he was heading to China Lake, perhaps?

Dave, if I remember correctly, which means I'm probably wrong, they upgraded the turbines and went to a four blade main rotor on these but why they would reverse main rotor rotation is beyond me.

I did a quick grab off the net of this AH-1Z Cobra, it looks very close to my shot, the tail rotor is on the port side,. I wish I could have gotten a better shot

Merv, there's nothing wrong with your shot sir. For the amount of time you had to set up for it turned out perfect.

I got tired of the Hummingbirds not eating my store bought food so I decided to make my own. The first day I put it out I had five feeding and they all keep coming back. I noticed one that had markings I had never seen before so I took some shots of him/her? I believe it's either a Rufous or Allen's Hummingbird, I am probably wrong. Does anyone know?

I'm jealous...the Hummingbirds here (Anna's Rufous) don't get close enough for me to get a good shot.

And that looks like a Rufous you have there.

Thanks for all the comments guys, greatly appreciated. It's been awhile since I posted anything, so I decided to walk around the yard for a few days and see what I could find. I was able to capture a couple of planes a Dragonfly and I finished a burn of a Wolf.
