Not a great deal of progress. This is the time when I just check all the component part, clean them (mold markings and flesh), bleach (where required) and identify paint colours. I'm a sticker for engine and gearbox colours, most kit instructions recommend just an allover aluminum but I like to vary this trying to bring a bit of reality into the build and to this end I have a range of Xtreme Metal paints as well as some Tamiya and Humbrol.

So this lot may look a bit of a mess, but it is highly organised as each part is identified by sprue numbers and paint colour.

At the moment I'm only about half way through the process. :D

Big spraying day. All the component parts are individually identified with the required colour and ready for spraying.

My afternoon was spent with 120 components and 15 differing metallic colours and a lot of spraying. Next up a couple of days brush painting and detailing these and other components before a general overspray of everything to help protect the paintwork. :D

Thanks for looking in folks. So, most of the painting is done, just a few little details to sort, then a bit of decal work before construction time.

What you see is about 3/4 of the components the rest are either still on the sprue or part of the main chassis or body.

Spru painting! No issues with the 'clipped' edges having to be touched up, or dont they show. Will be the perfect, 'ideal', kit if that is the way it is designed.

What I have left on the sprue Ralph is usually not painted, such as the black or chrome parts, mostly part of the suspension and the clipped edge is not seen.

Made a start with the build this morning. Please forgive the quality of the pics, its a very dull day and I've had to rely on my LED lights.

Nice work Vic. Looks like a lovely kit.
It is a great kit Andy and like most Tamiya kit, a delight to work with.

Onto today's achievements, the front suspension.

The front disc brake assemblies. I'm not so worried about the mould lines on the chrome, these will be hidden. If per chance the chrome part are on display I will clean off the chrome either by bleaching or with a scraping knife and them spray paint either with a chrome or other chosen paint.
