The Spit looks great,M, even from a camera 'phone. Like the base too, very realistic.
Karl, your '109 looks very good; your skills are improving! As for the toning-down, try giving it a coat (or another if you have already) of semi-matt clear varnish (Johnson's Klear with about 50% acrylic matt varnish). That'll give it the correct sheen, and just darken the colours slightly. I think you'll find that will do the job. For future builds, you know the score, as per Wojtek's advice and mine. Good work mate!

cheers for the tips guys i'm happy with my work its just in the flesh the colours are very vibrant on my G-10 and my dora, yet my tempest seems ok !
were luftwafe colours bright or is it a question of small scale models exaggerating the contrast between the colours

Most likely the latter, Karl. As Wayne said, they look OK on screen, but I understand what you mean when viewed live. BTW, I had the same problem on the weekend trying to get another bottle of Klear at Tesco's. Both stores in my town, big one and huge one, didn't have it! I got mine from Sainsbury's, at £2 odd. If no Sainsbury's near you try another supermarket, or an 'old fashioned' store or market.

Nice pic Blade! Love the color on that Phalz. or is it an Albatross?

Matt, there was no photoshop on that at all. Thats the original polaroid from way back then. I remember setting the thing on top of a trash can to get the level right with the back ground. Unfortunately its the only pics I have of any of my early stuff. except for a front page pic in a local newspaper when I won Grand Prize in 1974. Maybe I'll scan that and see if it comes out. But thanks for the comments guys. All those models are sadly now gone - I had tons and according to my pre-wife I still have tons!

Matt ,Revell and Dragon both do them in 1/72 and dragon I believe also do one in 1/48 .If your wanting to do one in 1/72 I whole heartily recommend the dragon kit ,far better than the revell(I only figured that one out after buying a revell kit ) I've never actually seen any of the dragon kits only seen them online .Proberly easier for you to get one being in the states

Tl what kit did you use?

Dam nice models either way!

Revell makes one?! Man, I'm outta the scene here dudes.

Dragon huh. Will have to look into that line. The trainer Pfeil is not my bag, but am intigruiged with a line that would produce one.

Sure do Matt ,heres a pic of the kit I picked up a while ago .Don't know whether they've re-released it or not

Very true Matt, these models will be good to practice recessing panel lines on.If I totally F>>>> them up them its fine ,haven't wasted that much money

Hay Guys the Doriner 335 A-12 is neither Revell or a Dragon Kit. It is a Frog kit I picked up from flying legends at duxford this year. I have also got a Tamiya 1:48 335 V-13 Which I'm planning to Airbrush as really like the Dornier 335 and want to make a good job of the Kit.
