And E3429, how did you set up your shot? The lighting, the spinning props, etc. All photoshopped changes? Great pic. Looks bloody real.

Glad you have managed with the landing gear doors and corrected their position.Now the Dora looks better. Looking at your models I got the impression you paited them with a brush.What kind of paints do you usually use for painting?

Thanks. It was strung up with fishing line outside and shot pretty early in the morning against a partly over cast sky. Brushed out the support lines and softened the props, then layered the shot on top of some storm clouds I shot earlier and adjusted the layers individually. Got a couple more I'll post later if anyone's interested!

Great models I really like that P40 I am very tempted to do a Australian "set" of a Spit, Beufighter and P40 after seeing these great models 8)

I model with TL Blade so hopefully I can make things a bit more clear in one go (hopefully ), we use similar techniqes spraying the model with Tamyia light gray primer then using the Revell and Humbrol brand enammel paints to brush paint the aircraft, once the construction is done its tansfer time then thats it really, we are eager to try new techniques and I intend to purchase and Airbrush to do the Avro Vulcan I have waiting to be done, we are willing learners and are more than happy to take on hints/tips/suggestions/ideas to improve the models. (btw I do his transfers for him unless they are Academy because the other brands seem to have taken a personal vendetta against him lol)

Hopefully that gives you a better idea if not then p.m. me and I'll try my best

Thanks for the info.Now almost all is clear.You both use the same way of painting.I was wonder why there weren't visible details on yours model.Now I understand.A primer is a good idea but to a certain extend.For instance, there are some scratches on a surface of a model or the surface is ragged or you want to use acrylic paints ,that like peeling off with masking tape, for painting.It is a nice idea when your model is big for example 1/32 or 1/24 scale ones.What is more the primer is useful ( especially when it is light grey ( natural grey)) when plastic of a model is of dark or odd colours.
These Humbrol enamels stick to a surface very good and it is enough to wash up a model with warm water and soap before you start painting.
The more layers of a paint ( also primer ) the less visible details of a model become.
 
Thankyou for the tips, I shall be trying them with my next models The BBMF Flight's aircraft will be replaced after two repaints of the plane or when the standard of them s too far removed from my newer aircraft to ensure the maximum detail possible.
