True story: A mate in Hungary proposed to his girlfriend, I think they'd been together 8 or 10 years. Instead of getting happy tears and a 'YES!', she was absolutely furious!
She yelled at him "Why did you have to spoil it??!!", stormed out of the house, and left him.
He was absolutely heartbroken.
