Once when stuck more than an hour in a loaded airliner, which sat out on the ramp overnight, the takeoff delay was found to be a switch in the rudder which gave a red light on the pilot's panel due to moisture. The ground crew was on a lift with a giant hair dryer to dry the rudder. My suggestion to the stew to put tape over the indicator light and go, as the slipstream would dry the switch was met with a dirty look.
