P-38s and P-51s off ships in the River Mersey, transported through the Mersey tunnel, Liverpool, UK, on their way to Burtonwood.
Give us scousers some credit. The airframes are just the skin. Its the sights, batteries, instruments and most popular of all, the clocks that go first. There's a ready market for them. And the scousers have already robbed the wingtips off the P-38s and the tails off the P-51s. Surprised the aircraft aren't sitting on bricks with their wheels missing.
It's called serendipity.
