Interesting bit of info, both Voyager spacecraft were launched in 1977, both have traveled far outside the orbit of Pluto, and both are still functional. They are so far out now that their solar panels are no longer capable of recharging their batteries (the batteries discharge faster than the solar cells can recharge them). However, the 3 onboard RTGs (Radioisotope Thermoelectric Generators) are still capable of recharging the batteries to the point where the Voyager can transmit data - said data being picked up here on Earth via NASA's DSN (Deep Space Network) by the equivalent of radio telescopes, since the original radio receiver stations & equipment are no longer sensitive enough to detect the Voyagers' signals.
