I had an arguing with Edgar years ago ... ( about the torsional stiffness of the Spitfire wings...) so I felt very attached to him and particularly sorry for his departure. Certainly a loss for this Forum.

Very sad. Thoughts are with his family. I followed him on another site where the talks centered around Spitfires and it seemed that there would be a great deal of back and forth until Edgar showed up. The issues were usually solved then and there. It was only recently that I learned Spitfire seats were not made of Bakelite. One of the posters even said, "Edgar will know"
