Well, since I was at it.....

Good stuff old boy, and apologies for the brief reply this morning - had only just got back to sleep, having been kept awake by rowdy passers by most of the bl**dy night!
From what I remember, the Frog Blenheim Mk1, although basic by today's standards, is quite a neat little kit. The Airfix example will need some work, mainly on the engine nacelles and the nose, the transparencies, in particular, being less than perfect.
Be interested to see/hear your comments on the new Lanc kit.
EDIT:- Crossing posts. Good one - that's a pretty good Panther kit, complete with the 'Zimmerit'. Some reviews from years past mention it being narrow, either in the turret or hull - can't remember - but I couldn't see a problem with it, and it certainly looks the part when built.

Good pick-ups guys. Jerry, I bought that Panther kit for my son for Christmas 5 or 6 years ago but he never touched it. Looks like I'll get around to it some day.

Yesterday, I picked up some nice deals at the model show:

I had been looking at this Spitfire MkXII before but managed to snag it for 10 bucks.

Same thing for this Italeri Hurricane - just $20.

10 bucks for a Hasegawa Mustang - can't go wrong

And how 'bout this Graf Spee for $20!

Finally, 5 bucks got me something I really needed - weighted resin tires for my Mossie build.

I love model shows!

Yeah, it would be a good 4 hour jaunt for you Cory. If you feel up to it, the other nice show I do is the Alberta Military Model Show at the Military Museum in September. Otherwise, see you in Edmonton next year!

Okay........... I'm a sucker for Davidson A/C
Got this for my Great Escape Scrounger P.O. Barry Dvdsn. Looks like a much older kit.

Good stuff Bill. Yes, it's an old kit, dating from the late 1960s. It's not too bad overall, although needs some work to correct the engine nacelles, and the nose transparency is a bit ... er... rough, plus the surface detail of the period of course. But, even out of the box, it looks like a Blenheim and, if you need it, I have an article covering the corrections required, and how to go about it. Let me know before Thursday if you want the info, and I'll bung it on the CD with the Lanc book.

And here's something as a starter. This is the 'bomber' nose, taken off the Duxford-based Blenheim after it's last accident. It's now being re-built with a Mk1 'fighter' nose, which at one time had been converted into a car!
