A couple of vintage kits there Robert !
The Mustang, although basic by today's standards, was a fairly good kit when first released around 1968. In outline, it's not too bad from the firewall back, but the nose, prop and spinner are way off. That said, with a bit of work, including sanding-down the surface 'detail', and some careful painting, it doesn't look too bad when done.
I wish Revell would re-tool it, and release a current state of the art 'razorback' Mustang in this scale, as the only other kit, from Trumpeter, is a tad pricey, and still not accurate.
