A great series of photos Karl, I envy you having such relatively accessible countryside, it might persuade me to get out & do more walking rather than the bloody near vertical stuff we''re surrounded by. I love a good view but you have to draw the line somewhere.

So here are some pics from our walk on yesterday (sat)

First a summary of our route, with distance, elevations and time taken.
My Daughter and I both carried about 10kg in training for our 3 day trek coming in 2 weeks.

Crossing the very old bridge above and going south, we headed uphill.

Yes my friend in many countries that are above sea level !

So after reaching the highest point of route we travelled along the summit for a while before we descended and turned east to head ack in the direction we had comefrom but at the base of the hills and along the rivers edge.

First picture is looking back along the route we had walked.

So we came down to meet the river Tees, where we stopped to cook lunch before turning right to head back towards our start point, this time along the very edge of the river.

My apologies for the above pics but my phone was acting up and died suddenly, i think it was the dunking it took when i went for a swim, some were taken by April on her i phone !

These pics of High force water fall are from a few years ago, we couldn't take picture on the day as we were on a path to the left of the picture and the viewing area is on the right, but it hasn't changed really !
