Ah starting Sunday morning with just this now...ahCoffee with a shot of cointreau and a shot of kahlua mixed in is divine...
I grind my own coffee, but I prefer the darker roasts. I keep the ground beans in a large plastic coffee container. Works very well and the coffee never goes stale. What are your favourites?
I'm the latter. I need a kick in the balls and good flavor.
Hawaii ruined coffee for me. It does both. Nothing else compares.
Hawaii is good but PNGs Paradise coffee made in Lae was even better. Unfortunately no longer available but most of the PNG coffee is good or very good.
It sounds like you've got a great routine and a fun sense of humor about coffee strength! For brewing, if you're looking to step up from K-cups, you might try a French press or a pour-over. Both give you more control over strength and flavor, especially with dark roasts like your Aldi Midnight Blend. For tea, steeping loose-leaf black teas in a small infuser or teapot can bring out deeper flavors compared to tea K-cups. Sampling different methods with your favorite blends might make your daily cup even better while keeping the strong, bold taste you love.Dare I tell you why my wife does not drink coffee?
Ok, I will.
Years ago, my wife was a young nurse at a nursing home for old folks. Seems there was an older fellow (patient) who seems VERY happy and cheerful at morning coffee time. Everybody just loved him and how jolly he was.
Until they caught him emptying his urinal into the coffee pot.
My wife was not a coffee drinker at the time and she never developed a taste for it after trying my french press coffee maker.
Back in the 80's I managed a gas station by day and drove a Tow Truck by night (highway patrol on call from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.) and I used to eat instant coffee from the jar with a spoon to keep going at night.I have a friend who would shock us by making instant coffee & creamer and not bother using hot water or heating it up. He was a NY cop who became a detective and told us that he was so used to drinking cold coffee on the job that he became used to it.
That's hard core!Back in the 80's I managed a gas station by day and drove a Tow Truck by night (highway patrol on call from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.) and I used to eat instant coffee from the jar with a spoon to keep going at night.
