Look I'm sympathetic to your words but there's 2 issues that always ruin a thread is gun control and politics,it usually escalates to heated and usually insults that takes what this forum is about and ruins it. So the moderators come down hard on it. They try to keep a level playing field. Just a heads up. I'm not one of them but those 2 subjects tend to shut down a thread.

Barrett's post, way back #88, reminded me of my former neighbor, one of the best i've had. He was Marine vet and in response to my 3x5 USAF flag. got a USMC flag that covered his entire garage door. I used to stand at the curb as he want to work, saluted and told him to keep putting into social security. After hurricane Katrina, he moved to Arizona where he just had a retirement house built. He told me of grocery shopping and saw a man in well worn western clothes complete with scuffed boots and sixgun shopping with no one paying any attention.
