I don't have any idea what it's called but I got a ok shot of it and it turned out mediocre so here it is.

[Gnomey]

Nice catch there Aaron!

[GrauGeist]

Nice shot

[Aaron Brooks Wolters]

Caught this little guy this morning!

Had to put a cage around him cause the dog was lookin for trouble...brought him to the river this morning after his photoshoot and let him go.

Pretty cool colors.

I think it's a Painted Turtle Harrison. At least that's what we use to call them. Great find and excellent shot!

[Gnomey]

Good shots Harrison!

[vikingBerserker]

Those are pretty nice, but he does look a tad ticked in the 2nd pic!

[B-17engineer]

Probably

My dog was barking at him just prior.

[GrauGeist]

Those are some cool looking colors, great shots, H!

[Wayne Little]

Cool shots..Harrison.

On my way up to Gentry Falls today I almost stepped on this little guy. He wasn't moving at first and I thought he might be dead but as it turned out he was just a little on the cool side. Once I picked him up he started moving and coming to life.

[vikingBerserker]

Wow, nice catch!

[Aaron Brooks Wolters]

Thank you David, the shots turned out way better than I figured they would. 3.5 F/stop, 1/15 shutter speed, camera in one hand, neut in the other.

[GrauGeist]

Dang man, you must have a steady hand to run 1/15 and get such a clean shot!

Me, I shake like a whore in church, so anything less then 1/125 is questionable!

That rascal sure is colorful, nice catch!

[B-17engineer]

Sweet one!
