The devastating "Blue Cut" fire burning currently in the Cajon Pass of the San Bernardino mountains (60+ miles east of Los Angeles) is consuming not only vegetation, but homes, historic structures and even railroad trestles.
This photo shows one of the trestles burning in the area. There is a real good chance that Sys has taken a shot of this trestle at one time or another, since this is in his neck of the woods.
Came across some really cool, and unusual videos today.
This first video is of a locomotive pulling an excavator out of a ditch...I can't think I've ever seen a locomtive used like this before...
And how about this one? We've all seen trucks loaded aboard flatcars - especially the "piggyback" loads of truck trailers...but how about a locomotive loaded aboard a truck & trailer?
Talk about extreme role reversal!
