Ok folks, here we go on the next leg of the trip and thanks for looking in.
So from one wacky place to the La La land of Hollywood.
We did a bit of a tour of Hollywood and here a few pics just to prove it. In reality we went this way twice as our bus tour up the coast also took us around Hollywood which was okay as on the first trip round my camera packed in, so I got a second chance. There was also a rehearsal going on at the Hollywood Bowl, a bit of a bonus. Also if you're wondering, it was stinking hot on this day and yes I did take loads more pics, but heck, I don't want to scare you all away.
These last two pics were in Santa Barbara our first stop on the great Coast Road Drive.
Thanks gent's, now for something a bit more up market.
After Santa Barbara we moved onto Solvang, the Danish capital of America "Velkommen" and what a contrast to your average American town. To be honest, it kind of looked out of place on the North American continent.
Moving up the coast after a night stop at Santa Maria we were lucky enough to come across the Elephant Seals. it was coming up for breading time and the males were arriving. We watched one swim in, lumber his way up the beach and muscle his way into a bunch of females and flop down as if to say "I'm here".
This seagull seemed not to be too impressed. Apologies about the focus, damn bird would not sit still.
Good stuff, Vic. I love Solvang. There is an antique store in Solvang that has some amazing items. Almost none of it I could afford, but it's fun to look at anyway. Nice shots.
