Once again, thanks folks. Today we travel onward to Las Vegas and ho what a place. But before I boar you with there, we did do a bit of a cultural trip first.

Here we are on our way to Nevada and about to cross the state line.

No trip to Las Vegas would be complete without the trip into the Grand Canyon. We decided to do it in style and fly in. But before we hit the canyon we took a side trip over the Hoover Dam.

Great shots Vic! Love the barn to, will have to steer Ontos, (aka; Merv) to this thread so he can enjoy'em to.And those are some spectacular shots of the dam sir, very well done.

Many thanks folks, it's a joy for me to share.

Great shops Vic. I bet that ride was a blast!

It was the next bit that was a real blast Glenn.

Great shots Vic, I found the barn Aaron I've been to Calico but that was about 25 to 30 years ago. I enjoy your vacation shots mate, you have a good eye.

Thanks for that Merv, I'm always trying to find that different angle.

After passing over the Hoover Dam we headed for the canyon and though I took loads of photographs, none could really capture the magnificence of the canyon. As we approached the canyon rim we were so close to the ground one felt you could touch it. Being so close to the ground gave one an awesome feeling and an enormous adrenalin rush as we zoomed over the rim of the canyon and into the gaping oblivion of this huge deep rift in the landscape.

We landed on a ridge in the bottom of the canyon as the days light was fading, we had enough time to have a quick wander, take some pictures and toast the occasion with a nice glass of chilled Champaign.

Excellent shots Vic! My boss took the helicopter ride out over the canyon with his wife and neither one of them like to fly. He said he about lost his lunch when they burst out over the rim of the canyon.
