It was quite common to have no roundel on the starboard upper wing Andy, it was one of those MOD trends that ripple through the RAF from time to time.

Well, if you like T-33's this was the show for you. Here are 7 more, entered as a Group Build in the 1/48th scale Moderate Detail Single-engine Jet category. I didn't pick up on which of these placed but I know I like the one in the Sandinista scheme.

IMHO only the one 119 the Comox T b 1 RD looks real the one that has the low vis looks bogus with those panel lines and can't ever recall seeing 572 with a snowbirds zap ,even question whether there was a T Bird in Moose Jaw. I must have seen every T Bird there was in stock from 77- 87 at least a zillion times

Following are more 1/48th scale Moderate Detail Single-engine Jet category entrees, including the medal winners:

1st place, Special Hobby X15:

2nd place, Dragon's He162.

And the rest, Hasegawa RCAF Sabre MkV, F16 (unknown manufacturer), and another Sabre, this time a Revell kit done up in an RCAF Golden Hawks scheme.

Some very nice models there. Personally, I think at least two of 'the rest' ( Sabres) are much better than the 'placed' models. Of course, that's just going off the photos.
