Got up this morning and found an email from Amazon saying 1740088872989.png.

I checked the Amazon site and all the card details were correct so I took screen shots and send them with a grumpy gram to my bank advising I would be going to the Banking Ombudsman later today unless fixed. Got an automated response saying call them by phone if it is urgent so I did.

Yawn Yawn until I said I was going to the Ombudsman because previous experience was that they did not give a %$^&. Suddenly very interested. Put me on hold and then 10 minutes later asked me to fill in the details at Amazon again.

This time it appears to have worked. The part I need for my car is $1760 or more in Aus and $202 including express freight from Amazon USA.

I have some recipes. Any body has a barbie I can use?
20 $ for a part. Car part that is, bit of furr with twiggs. Taste horrible but cheap and with the tequila... well..
50$ for a piece of nice meat on a stick.
65 $ for above without glass and twiggs.

Did you at least get to keep the deer?
I could have if I wanted to call and wait for the police or Game Warden to show up, but I'm afraid that it would have been some pretty bloody and bruised up meat since it gat whacked doing 60 MPH. Plus I didn't really feel like field dressing a butchering a deer at 8:00 o'clock at night.
I can tell you where it is lying if you want to pick up some free venison I do believe there are several road kill cookbooks out there.

IMHO it's "Noli vexas mere" (Don't bother me).
And Latin is a "dead language" so you probably need a "dead translator".

How many Texans does it take to eat an Armadillo?

Answer: Two. One has to stop the traffic.

Friend of mine said he was out camping with his dad and hit a deer with their station wagon. They threw the body in the back. On down the road a ways they found out the deer was only stunned.....

There is somewhere a recording of a call to police about a man who hit a deer, put in his back seat and "It came alive. Send a man with a gun, it's tearing up my back seat." When asked where he was, the response was, "I'm in a phone booth. Hurry. There goes the rear glass." There was more of the recording, however the only thing more I remember was when he was asked where he was taking the deer, he said, " To the hospital."

I saw a big buck get hit up on Cape Canaveral AFS. Was not your typical deerstrike. The N and S sections of the road there is separated by a large amount of mostly open land, probably 500 ft or so and the deer was running diagonally across it and actually overtook a car from the left rear quarter and hit it at an angle. The buck did a complete flip in the air and may well have come through it Okay. If I had been driving my pickup I would have gone over there to see if I could help.
