Finally. Some good news.Studies show coffee drinkers, four cups per day, almost never have gallbladder problems.
Now they claim coffee has anti cancer qualities.
I may live forever.
At least, a very long time.
I hear you. It reminds me that 10 or so years ago, 'In the cloud' was all the rage. this almost-mythical was to store, manage and access data globally. Then I heard a co-worker give a PERFECT definition of 'In the cloud': all it means is that your precious data is on someone else's computer......My annoyance actually of the last few years: Artificial Intelligence. AI is the buzz word everywhere. No problem too big or too small or you have to solve it with AI. Nobody knows how things work anymore as AI will solve it anyway.
It takes all the fun and creativity out of things.
AI should be renamed to Artificial Incompetence.
Just like AI means you are copy-catting someone else's work.I hear you. Agreed. People believe that AI is infallible. But it fails time and time again. My annoyance actually of the last few years: Artificial Intelligence. AI is the buzz word everywhere. That's not exactly what the main problem is. AI is getting better and better and in some fields, it's already better than the average human.Agreed. People believe that AI is infallible. But it fails time and time again.
Can't speak for everyone but I'm pretty sure I am.Face it, Humans are becoming obsolete.
Artificial intelligence cannot cope with natural stupidity.
That's not exactly what the main problem is. AI is getting better and better and in some fields, it's already better than the average human.
But herein actually lies the problem. AI is becoming so good that many just accept it as being the truth without really looking at it. So people let AI solve their problem. So they solve their problem faster than before, but don't get the experience of looking into it, failing, getting grip on the problem and then solve it themselves. This means, over time, experience and knowledge get lost. I already said that AI is just restructuring things it already knows, but it's not really innovating. So it's clueless when encountering something really new. But in due time there won't be people with the insights that people used to have, having gotten their hands dirty. This means progress will stall.
So my prediction for the future is that AI will initially accelerate innovation, but it will reach a plateau once the experienced people are gone. This will be sooner than you think. I've already seen students who are clueless without the use of copilot. And this is only, say, 3-4 years into the hype?
Well, that'll make every other organism on the planet - in the solar system, actually (assuming there are any...) - rather happyFace it, Humans are becoming obsolete.
