I am a long time martial arts instructor. I just got notification that my grant was approved to cover the cost of training to work as a personal trainer for veterans with disabilities. It has been on my to do list since 9/11. Not having a national certification has been a major road block for working with the VA. With 35 years experience, I needed to pay for a piece of paper showing I know Tai chi. BS on that, get verification by a group that been around a couple of years. So I will get trained by a veteran owned group that trains people to work with all types of disabilities. Program is not sport specific. Maybe I can help veterans with chronic model buying syndrome.
🏆🤣

My youngest finished the classroom portion of his driver's training. Now we need to schedule his learner's test so he can get his permit.

I did all my son's driving training for his. I really enjoyed it, including a long road trip. About two weeks before his test we drove down to the DMV (about six miles away) and discovered where they give the parking portion of the test. We drove down about 5 or 6 times, doing the profile each time. Took his drivers test in a stick shift F150. Passed no problem. Now his daily driver is a 6 speed Mustang. Save the manual!

Took my last daughter on a Sunday to the small town where the actual official state run license office, not the private run state offices, was located and did the drive around, practiced angle parking and back out, and practiced parallel parking. The next day we went for the test and she merely had to drive around the town, after successfully backing out of the diagonal spot onto main street traffic, and watching for one way street turns. No parallel parking which had worried her.
One the way home I told my daughter of a time when I encountered a friend, who ran a driving school, in the State Police office where the driving tests were done long before. After my friend told me he was there for a student's test, I saw through the window behind him, a car back into a passing State Police car. I asked, "Was that her who just backed into a police car?" His comment was, "You're not going to trick me into looking." It was her.

The Army has acknowledged receipt of my retirement packet and may process it in the next 90 - 120 business days. When you factor in all the federal holidays, and the training holidays, might get paid by October?

I went through that almost a couple of years ago. When I started researching it, I was told to start submitting paperwork about 6months out. Then they changed the webpage and I had to start all over again. Did finally get it almost three months later, but they did include all back pay dating back to my 60th birthday. If you seem stuck, call them.

Musk is going to replace all those career pen pushers with Brand X Abysmal Intelligence computers so I hope that yours is quickly processed by a human
It is not in the intrest of modern goverment (at least where I am now) to answer any question quickly. The only reason for lots of pen pushers is to make a dence black un cooperative cloud in wich one will desolve when needing anything out of said cloud.

Now commercialy....
AI will be trained to get the most... most profitable answer for the ones that has it on its payroll.
Even if you do not agree with an outcome it is trained to stall you indefinitely.
Getting a lawyer will not have benifits anymore. That is a breed that is now of dinosaurian value. It will be replaced.

Next fase is taking in account all your doctor visits an all you purchases by credit card or or any electronic device and look for possible correlation. Of course that could have nothing to do with you...but well AI...
It will be a cold day in hell before you get that one reversed.

No I am not any longer a big fan of these AI things.
