My wife and I met when we volunteered to assist at a sports club for the disabled, and that is where I learnt archery. as most of my time was spent retrieving the arrows, I thought that I might as well fire some. Nothing as dramatic, but all the archers insisted that I learnt and shot sitting in a chair, not standing. At the time I found it very difficult as you tend to move, but it did wonders for my balance which paid dividends when I joined an club and shot normally.
